Awestrich? What does that have to do with Quilting?

Prepare yourself to be overwhelmed. At least that is my plan.....

O.K., here is the design for another center panel that was hoping to be the beginning of a quilt. Whatchathink? I was told that no one had done an ostrich before so it would not be considered for fabric. Hmmmm. Wouldn't that be a good reason TO print it? Oh well. I keep asking myself, "What do I know?" This line is called "Awestrich" I will be publishing more of these unworthy designs in the next few days.

I went to a lovely gathering of sewers, tonight, hosted in the lovely home of Ron and Louise Adams. The food was plentiful and delicious, the ladies beautiful, talented, and sweet. Merry Christmas to all and thanks to those of you who give me such great support.

  1. I'm with you Dianne - Seems to me an ostrich line would be GREAT since no one has done one before. It's fabulous, though, and I hope some other fabric company will do these lines somewhere down the road. Can't wait to see more of The Unworthies.

is that not the dumbest damned logic that you have ever heard ????

That panel screams to me for some radical thread embellishment - oh could I have fun with it !!!

sounds like we are all unworthy from Big Brother's point-of-view -

love it, girl !~ you keep those ideas flowing

  3. Hmm, I forget what company you submitted these designs to - but remember, just like quilt show judges, those folks are just expressing their opinion/taste. I think you should consider submitting to another company if you can. Maybe you could expand the line to include something generally considered 'cuddly' like a koala bear or platypus or???

  4. Love you guys for being so incredibly supportive. I super appreciate it that you continue to check in on my musing. So refreshing to find that I am not talking to an audience of ONE (me). While I know I am in my own little world, it helps to have others join me to make my world a little larger and more fun.
