I'd Rather be Quilting

This is definitely not the way to make anyone jealous. It is raining, again. I am getting shriveled skin from too much time in the water, but it is not from the ocean or the pool. I suppose this is punishment for even thinking about making anyone jealous?

Quilting, I should be quilting.....

Quilts? What quilts?

Quilts? what quilts?
Holy Cow, I am on a roll. Two days in a row??? Oh wait, I forgot about yesterday when I was driving. Oh well.

We did more stopping than driving, heh heh. Jan and I had "errands" to run. The Mall counts as an errand, doesn't it? Then there was that great Tamale Shop in Vicksburg....yummmmie. And that darling shop in Jackson....

Then we proceeded to drive through the worst rain/hail storm that I, personally, have ever experienced. SCARY. We honestly could not see the front end of our car. I said a little prayer since I stopped right on the interstate, unable to even see well enough to pull to the shoulder of the road. We finally pulled into the driveway of the beach house at 12:30 a.m. No trouble falling asleep this night.

How about our early morning view? Jealous yet? If not, I will be working on that all week, tee hee.

Excuses, excuses

Mentally I have an entire list of "reasons" why I have not written anything for over a month. Here is the beginning of my list:
1.
2.
3.
4......Hmmmm. Nothing seems important enough...ok, so I am letting you help me out. This is a "fill in the blanks" quiz.

I used to promise I would get better at writing. Not going there, anymore. We arrived home from Market in Minneapolis on Tuesday night. No time to rest. We need to fill orders and then create kits for the next shows. Should I mention that I am sneaking off to the beach for several days? So much for any sympathy I might have garnered before mentioning that. How about a photo I took during our trip to Salt Lake City? Is this worth any forgiveness? O.K., I was just hoping... How about I just include pictures of my mini vacation this week so if you cannot be sympathetic, you can be JEALOUS!!, heh heh

Rude Awakening

Surprise, surprise, surprise. I came out to my car the other day to a note under my windshield wiper. Silly me, I thought the note was probably from one of my former students, or a friend. Sorry for the language but I thought you might like to see what I read. At first, I thought it was a joke until I noticed someone following me out of the parking lot. Luckily, that turned out to be a coincidence. What kind of sick person not only gets bothered by my parking, but takes the time and effort to actually write a note. Perhaps this gal needs to take up quilting as a stress reliever????

At the Quilt Show

This little future quilter has found her favorite spot....

Salt Lake City Quilt Show

Well, here we are in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Quilt Show. This is definitely NOT Louisiana. I mean, mountains??? snow??? anytime, let alone in May... I am loving this. I might just send for my husband instead of going back to 90 degree temperatures and a zillion percent humidity. I cannot imagine waking up to this view every day. Well, I am supposed to be working so I had better go my boss does not get mad. Oh wait, I am the boss, heh heh.

Quilt Shows and More Quilt Shows

This is definitely embarrassing. I have been so neglectful about this blog that I should permanently hang my head in shame. I will try my best to redeem myself. Excuses are not a part of my nature so I will simply say that I have been gone almost constantly since the first part of April. Gina Reddin of Splinters and Threads, and I have been vending at Quilt Shows alll over the place. We started with a show in Springfield, Missouri, then traveled to Chicago, Illinois, then on to Paducah, Kentucky. We were home for less than a week before heading out to our present location, Salt Lake City, Utah. Who wouldathunkit? I actually took pictures and everything, documenting our travels. Of course, I do not have the cable with me to download the pictures so for now, you will have to assume that I am being truthful. Ha. Like that matters when one is as awful as I about adding to this blog.
Promises, promises, promises.....I can only say I will try to be better, more interesting, and more pictorial....right now I am heading to la la land. Thanks for checking back, at all.
